Today I woke up early and had breakfast with the family. There are some special holidays in February in Germany, when students don’t have to go to school for around a week. Because of this, we had the morning free to do whatever we wanted. 

As it had snowed heavily all day the previous day, Paula’s mother suggested going to a small hill nearby while it was all snowed. 

It was in the same town, so we went there with our coats, gloves, hats, etc. There, we met some friends of hers and their kids. 

It was my first time sledging. 

I was very excited and enjoyed it a lot. We went down the hill a few times and had lots of fun. 

The landscape was incredible, too. I had never seen so much snow in my life, and even though they were more used to it than me, they were amazed too. 

On the way back home, I talked with one of the girls I’d met there. We compared the food of our countries and made plans for things to do here. 

Today was definitely an amazing day.
