Today, in the morning, my host mother, my host sister and I went to a nearby lake. They told me that sometimes in winter, the weather is so cold that the lakes freeze over. 

This lake was completely frozen, and there were people ice skating and sledging on it. 

We enjoyed ice skating for about an hour, and then we went back to the car and met some of Paula’s family. Together, we went to another village and had a birthday party for one of them.

Back home, we played board games, watched films and cooked for the rest of the evening.
